Very often we find ourselves having the same arguments all the time in our personal relationships. Sometimes we get hurt like we have never been before and we can’t understand why it hurts so much.
Old patterns and unresolved issues can keep us stuck in the same place at times. Never having learned healthy ways of communicating, we do not know how to get the results we want.
So many of us go through these challenges at various stages of our lives, with work, personal and professional relationships and raising children. Some of these challenges can seem overwhelming and can drag us down.
For families with children, the teen years can be daunting, not just for teenagers but for their loved ones as well. As a licensed marriage, family and child therapist, I work with teens struggling with low grades, having issues around fitting into a new culture or environment, perhaps also dealing with family and marital friction at home. All this distress can exhibit itself as behavior problems, eating disorders, and experimentation with drugs and alcohol.
I also have extensive experience with young children, suffering from anxiety, depression, separation, and feelings of abandonment.
As a therapist with over 20 years of experience, I provide counseling on relationship issues, with couples, such as intimacy, communication, parenting, infidelity and other conflicts. I work closely with you to identify the problems and provide a workable solution to your different struggles.
I counsel with a willingness to be direct and honest with my clients. I use an integrated therapeutic approach involving cognitive, behavioral, family systems, as well as existential, spiritual and humanistic approaches.
