Our keynote speaker, Mayor Lily Mei has the distinction of serving as both a Fremont Unified School District School Board trustee and a Fremont City Council member prior to becoming Fremont’s first Asian female mayor.  As a parent who also served in the PTA, Mei is appreciative of the advocacy efforts behind PTA’s motto “every child one voice.”  Learn from her perspective what civic engagement has looked like in Fremont and what you can do to raise children to become engaged, conscientious citizens.
